The Original Keto Chicken Tenders

The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, moderate-protein, low-carbohydrate dietary program that was developed for patients with epilepsy. In the 1950s, it was introduced as the epilepsy diet to help control seizure activity. Though it is not a true ketogenic diet, it is a very low-carb diet that mimics the effects of a state of ketosis. This diet has become increasingly popular as a way to lose weight, reduce health risks, and improve health.

After a year of success, we are proud to announce the return of our original keto chicken tenders. They are made with 100% real chicken breast, which is marinated, hand-breaded, and fried. We choose to use real chicken breast because of its natural flavor and tenderness.

When you’re on a low carb diet, you probably sometimes miss some of your favorite foods, such as chicken tenders. You might be on a diet but you still want to indulge a little—without going over your carbs or calories. Here’s a keto-friendly recipe for the original chicken tenders—and the best part is, it’s also on KetoDietApp!

This is a baked Keto Chicken Tenders recipe that you may use as your low carb breading of choice. The breading adheres to the chicken, forming a firm outer shell that’s ideal for dipping or coating with buffalo sauce. Look no further if you’re searching for a nutritious chicken tender dish that fits your keto diet.

Keto Chicken Tenders Baked to Perfection

This almond flour breading recipe is finally perfected. We have a video of Megha preparing popcorn chicken if you want a video instruction on how to correctly perform the breading method.

These low-carb chicken tenders use the same methods and concepts. The egg wash and breading mixture are the same. To make these tenders more to your liking, experiment with various spice combinations. Let’s get the keto chicken tenders started!

Chicken that has been fried vs. chicken that has been baked

We’ve tried this low-carb breading in a variety of ways, but our favorite is baking. This is done for a number of reasons. Baked keto chicken tenders make cleanup and nutrition tracking much simpler.

If you order fried chicken, the calorie count may be a bit of a guessing game. This breading also bakes up to the consistency of a restaurant chicken tender. There’s no need to cook them to add a lot of calories. If you really want to increase the calorie count, top these keto chicken tenders with blue cheese dressing!

Sauces for Keto Diet

We’ve experimented with a buffalo sauce recipe on many occasions. When we catered a birthday party a few months ago, we prepared a very excellent one and threw chicken wings in it. If you’re serious about making your own sauces, I strongly advise you to develop your own buffalo sauce recipe.

We’re using a store-bought sauce for our keto chicken tenders! We’ve tried a couple different store-bought buffalo sauce brands and variations, and they’re all delicious. Even better, almost all of them are low-carb and sugar-free. To be sure, check the nutrition label, but every sauce at our local supermarket has no added sugar. We do have a fantastic handmade Asian wing sauce recipe that would be fantastic on these keto chicken tenders, but nothing beats chicken slathered in buffalo sauce when you’re in the mood!

To Order Sauce

If you’re not saucing your tenders to order, you’re just not getting the most out of these keto chicken tenders. Don’t waste the crispiness by saucing the tenders an hour ahead of time since we worked so hard on this crispy breading recipe. Placing a couple tenders in a Tupperware container is the best method for me to obtain a full and thorough sauce coating. Several spoonfuls of sauce should be added. Cover the container with the lid and shake it until it is fully coated.

You’re not a fan of Buffalo sauce?

We’ve also got you covered there. We’ve developed a low-carb BBQ sauce that’s out of this world. This isn’t a phrase I use lightly, but this is one of my favorite dishes we’ve ever published. It’s a lot better than the sugary junk you ate as a kid!

  • 1 egg and 1 tbsp heavy cream, whisked together

Chicken tenders are probably the most common fast food item. In fact, they are so popular that most chicken restaurants use the same fast food recipe to make chicken tenders. The problem is that most of the chicken tenders on the market taste really bad. They are usually filled with fat and unhealthy ingredients.
